  1. Try placing it in another PCI-E lane or swapping it with the graphics card too see if the GPU also has the same effect as the slot could be faulty.

Seems to me like the bus between the Internet on the chipset and then CPU is not working.
The best way would be to buy a wifi card like this:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-WN881ND-300Mbps-Wireless-Express/dp/B006BSPTAQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399314784&sr=8-1

    Or

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-WN781ND-150Mbps-Wireless-Express/dp/B0036AFAEW/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1399314784&sr=8-5&keywords=wifi+card

It will redirect the internet to the card so the faulty one wont bother you again.
    I'm sorry but I don't think there's a way of repairing a device that's shorting out.

Buy an external wireless adapter or a wireless card. The network adapter on the board has probably failed.
