Are there keyboards that has trigger button like in console controller (L2 R2) .

I'm asking this because . I dont think Im the only one who ever think of it. Because I Have an Idea that will change the gaming keyboard to a whole new level by Replacing gaming buttons such as , W,A,S,D,LSHIFT, LCTRL and ,UP,DOWN,LEFT RIGHT as a Trigger button just like in the consoles controllers. So that it will affect the gaming capabilities. Like in RACING , The Acceleration of your car depends on how hard you press that button, and the turning or banking of your car or motor depends on how hard u press LEFT and RIGHT / A,D . OPEN WORLD like Watch dogs , You need to pretend that your'e part of the community (AI) by slightly pressing the button ,your character will not walk so slow neither too fast, in that case its easy to blend in the community , the great skill you have the hard for the opponent to find you. As for GTA , I know that if you are BORED you pretend like a normal citizen by driving a car slow and following the traffic rules, if replace the buttons which i called trigger buttons , it will be easier to blend and pretend (depends on ur skill). as for FPS (LCTRL is Crouch right) now the level of crouch depends in your hands . slightly increasing or decreasing your crouch level by this button (HARD TO EXPLAIN HOPE YOU GET MY POINT.

I hope everyone get my point
I hope I'm the only one who ever think of this. I tinker it for weeks.
I Hope gamers support me.

if in that case people and my triggerboard will have to wait for it for new os chips etc. Thanks for your opinion . If people like this there will be a way.

I can see it being done.

The keyboard itself will need some new hardware, but that's no big deal as manufacturers like making their own stuff even when theirs no difference. Cherry's patent on their mechanical switches have gone public, someone would be able to adapt it for this usage. Having pressure sensitive keys would be a massive selling point on a gaming keyboards, as that's one thing Mouse+Keyboard really lack over the joystick/trigger's on a controller.

As for the software end, I imagine their would be some switch on the keyboard itself between the normal binary mode (key is/not pressed) and the pressure sensitive to deal with incompatible software. OS's would lag behind on the pressure sensitivity aspect, but then again they wouldn't benefit from it so its no big loss. For gaming, wouldnt be too difficult to basically just hack into the drivers for a traditional controller already present on the machine and the game. From the games perspective, your using a really lame joystick (only 8 directions!) in combination with a mouse and keyboard.

The keyboard ergonomics would have to change a fair bit though. The pressure sensitive keys would have to get larger and especially taller, there's too little travel distance on current mechanical switches (because membrane would be impossible to do this) to do that. So these gaming keyboards would never see mainstream adoption as too many people are used to the standard layout and sizing.

Going pressure sensitive for things like crouching, dont think will work at all. Game design has those as toggle's (usually) for a reason, you dont want to be stuck holding down so many keys at once.

Unless we're talking about more than 3-4 pressure sensitive triggers, I think foot pedals for racing games already have the trigger aspect covered. It would also be easier to use for most people.

Also, although not a keyboard, many gaming mice have analog triggers, i.e. Warmouse meta.

Since it's one hand on each, I don't think having the trigger on either hand would prove to be more useful than the other, unless of course, we're talking about 4+ triggers AND a keyboard only solution for gaming, which I would like to see some day

LOL right!!! ... And Take note, not all people afford to buy this simulators controller stuff. Keyboard still dominates the gamers , what i want is to feel the greatness of racing or any other type of games for people who cant afford to buy one. THANK YOU VERY MUCH , .thanks for your support? haha . lets hope some company hits my idea ,but not means of PLAGIARISM. is that the right term ,hmm IDK .

I'm looking forward for this to come one day on E3 . I have so much idea running in my mind about that, that will generate much profit.

And as for warmouse i think that uncomfortable? right?

yah ur unbelievably smart. but you still don't know the idea flowing in my brain. I tinker with it and i promised it'll be much cheaper than simulator controllers.

I may not have idea about this things (expenses mechanical bla bla bla ) but I swear it'll be cheap if that day comes.

uhm maybe the price will be not be far from a cheapest simulator controller, but it will be much cheaper in the way that you'll not only be playing racing games on it , isn't ?
