Hard Drive not detected by BIOS! Can't boot

Hi. I own an EEE PC 1005HA netbook. Win7 32 bit. I'm not that much of a techy but trust me, I tried my best to solve this problem myself to no avail. So I came here (knowing that this forum is pretty active.) and made myself an account just to post my problem here. Here's my dilemma:

I was trying to run NFSMW on my netbook. Seeing that the game wouldn't start, I uninstalled it and restarted my computer. While the PC was on the " O Logging Off " phase, I noticed that the circle isn't moving. So I figured that it probably hanged and I should do a hard shutdown (pressing the power button for 5-10 secs ). But when I try to boot it up, it says "bootmgr is missing. Press ctrl+alt+delete to restart" . I looked at the bios to change the boot priority but I can't see my HDD anywhere. It seems that the BIOS can't detect it. So I plugged in my bootable win7 USB and tried to repair it, but it still doesn't detect my HDD. I'm afraid I got it corrupted or something.

Has anyone experienced this before and can guide me through fixing this? Can I still recover my files if I corrupted (fingers crossed) my HDD? All answers will be very much appreciated.

P.S.
If any image is required for further understanding of my problem. please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi,

Your hard drive might have been damaged due to the improper shutdown you've made. Since it is undetected by your system BIOS you can ask an HDD replacement if your netbook is still under warranty. And if you have some important data on that drive you better consult it to a professional data recovery service.
