Hi there..!
I'm building my cpu config, and this is what I have now... I'm looking for a good CPU cooler...

I thought about the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler. The problem is that the shop I'm buying my components from doesn't have it and it's taking forever to order it.

Are there good alternatives to this cooler? Can you suggest some?

The config is the following:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Kingston HyperX Grey 16GB DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive + 120gb SSD evo
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Classified
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Titanium Grey) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Monitor: Asus VG248QE 144Hz 24.0" Monitor

Solution

If this is the case should the zalman already be enough. It's not as easy to install as a noctua, but is a lot cheaper and imo even for some overclocking good enough.
The Noctua NH-U12S is also a solid choice, but already pricey considering not knowing if you want to overclock.
Having said that should the stock cooler already be enough if not overclocking, but the zalman will do better for a nice price.

*WARNING*
The Noctua NH-D14 has voltage-controlled fans. Most modern motherboards only support PWM fans. I have this cooler and discovered this when I got the Asus Sabertooth Z77.

My fans just spun at about 75% full speed and just stayed there. I did hook it up to a motherboard FAN controller instead which works well enough but it's not ideal.

I think most motherboards are now PWM only for the CPU, but PWM and Voltage for the fan controllers. Eventually this will be PWM only for all fan support.

Asus Fan Xpert 2 will control both PWM and 3-pin fans. It is doing so in my system right now.

I like PWM fans as well.
