my samsung notebook r530 screen has gone very dark cant hardly see anything even when i adjust the brightness am using by connecting it to the tv by a hd lead... i knocked it on the wall very lightly and then this happened can anyone help me or make any suggestions asap I dont have much money or the time to take it to a shop btw it isnt my laptop its my aunties who loaned it to me and she is collecting it next weekend and i dont get paid till friday

Based on your description I'm not sure there's anything you can do that doesn't involve repair. However "lightly" you state you knocked it on the wall, it appears that this has been caused by physical damage and I can't think of anything outside of physical repair what will fix this.

I know this is an old post BUT I thought I'd still chime in. I had this very same issue and the cause wasn't the bump against the wall but rather my connection to my TV. I had to go in (multiple times) to my graphics settings and change it from my TV being the primary to my laptop. It also mattered how I plugged things in/turned things on. A little bit of Googling should help you in that area since I can't recall the order.
