GPU - AMD Radeon HD 7850 - 2 GB

The HD 7850 is a decent card budget card, in order to see a significant increase from it you would need to get a gtx 760 or 770 (or their AMD equivalents). More than likely you are being bottlenecked by your cpu, and getting a better cpu would require changing your motherboard. If this was a per-built computer then the windows would be tied to your motherboard. Basically, if you want to upgrade the cpu, you would need the cpu, motherboard and a new copy of windows (assuming you don't already have one).

8 Gb of ram is good.

Here are a cpu/mobo that would probably fit your needs (I assumed you would not be overclocking):

Only just saw it's a basic AMD not a octo-core AMD.

In that case buy a new motherboard and CPU.
