Hey gang,

Right now I'm trying to figure out the cheapest possible build for Feed the Beast (minecraft) and maybe Photoshop also.

I would like to spend less then 300, but if i'm dreaming let me know ha! I already have a monitor so I would not need to worry about that.

I currently have a laptop i7-2670qm - ram 8 GB - 250 SSD. It works well for Photoshop but it cant for its life run Minecraft Feed The Beast, and it struggles with aftereffects.

What are your thoughts?

PS I have no brand preferences! Additionally, I don't mind using older hardware as long as it works!

Photosop: minimum to work moreless comfortable: (4 core CPU, imo: i5 is minimum, 8GB ram (16 prefered - depends on what type projects You work), any MB imo: price/performance best is asrock h87 fatal1ty..., any GPU). Feed The Beast = (core i3..., 4gb ram, mb: any, GPU = GF gtx 650 ti will do the job. Dont know about prices but i dont think that you be able to build it around 300. (gf gtx650ti= 120$ on ebay, asrock mobo=150$, ram 8bg = 80-90$, and you need to add cpu, psu, hdd, case) Photoshop requierments are quite high (depends on projects) but less than 4core cpu and 8gb ram is not a good idea.
