I was comparing Windows 8.1 , Windows 8 and Windows 7... I really don't know how to compare or is there any comparison but I just wanted to ask Which one of the three is better for gaming that would give me more performance.. I don't mind Metro in case of Win 8.. Touch is not a matter of concern and I don't have a touch screen monitor to have the Touch enabled.. So in terms of gaming performance which one you guys would prefer..? I would appreciate if someone has graphical scores of gaming performances on these systems..

Both are the same, the 8.1 is just a free update/upgrade from 8, so unless the 8 is somehow cheaper, you should go for 8.1 so you don't have the hassle of upgrading it later.
If you want the higher fps then buy Windows 8.1. It does give less than 3% benefit in games but it does. The real question is which environment do you prefer, 7 or 8?

I chose 7 over 8 cuz I really don't like the layout of 8. It reminds me of Vista. (ralf)

i see you have a GTX 650ti, is it the 1GB or 2GB version?
if you have a 1GB version i would clearly recommend Win 7, since all the tablet-ish bling bling on Win 8 can use quite a bit more vram.

Whereas Win 7 would use >100MB of your 1/2GB, Win 8 could use up to ~250MB, i read this in a comparison between win 8 & 7 in gaming but i dont remember where i found it.

If you have 2GB of vram on your 650ti. Personally I've used both Win 7 & 8/8.1, also have a Win 8.1 tablet, and i can tell you that it's probably most up to whats your personal preference may be. I myself reinstalled Win 7 on my desktop because i felt like all the new features where made for tablets/touch screens, not gaming rigs with mice & keyboard.

EDIT: how did i not notice the 2GB in your gpu... Nevermind the first part of my text :)

Yeah I have 2GB of VRAM.. :) I like the layout of Windows 8 than 7.. But when I use Windows 7 I feel like it is slower than Windows 8(not the boot time).. Its not really the boot time I am talking about I am saying the actual performance it gives while using the PC(not gaming)... I have used both of them but really confused which of them's performance is better..
