Intel HD graphics family is faster than the dedicated Radeon hd 8670m!?

Hello Everyone!

So i bought a Dell Inspirion 15r-5537 ... It had switchable graphics. It had Intel HD graphics family and ATI Radeon HD 8670m 2GB DDR3...But when i started Prototype 2 on High performance....It lags like hell...I mean i get like 10 fps!...But when i started prototype 2 on Power saving AKA Intel Hd graphics...It ran between 25-30 FPS!....How the hell does this happen? Is something wrong with my Ati card? Please help!

Your GPU is only DDR3. So if you have dual channel fast RAM in your laptop, it is possible you get more FPS on the HD graphics. There are many variables to consider. It doesn't work linearly.

So what can i do :( :( ..My drivers are updated.So should i reinstall the AMD driver?Every game the intel hd performs better! My core speeds are 1.60ghz each tho...maybe is that a problem?

Wipe the intel and amd drivers then only install the amd drivers.

not really.. that i5's hd4000 graphics isn't in the same class as the hd8670 graphics on the card. it should be almost 2/3 slower... so either his gpu is faulty or the drivers are bad. no other explanation.

I would call dell and get their tech help walk you through the issue. Dell has wonderful tech support, if you follow their instructions step by step and the issue isn't resolved they'll typically replace the unit no questions asked.
