Hello,
Quick question that could turn long, lol. Wondering how well 2x EVGA GTX 780 Classifieds will run in SLI? Will I see major spikes in temperatures? I have Avery high airflow case and water cooled cpu to keep that heat out of the case. Also wondering if it's worth getting the 2nd card for SLI and overclocking or if I will need to replace the ACX coolers with waterblocks?

Solution
The ACX coolers are usually beast and you usually don't need to go to crazy about alternate methods of cooling when in SLI, even when they are overclocked. Just make sure you have a good exchange of air though the case, I prefer the side and front intake and rear and top as exhaust also.

It should be okay, though its noisier than a single card. If you have a mobo with a 3-slot spacing between the PCI-E (space for SLI gpus that fill 3-slots), the cards will have a slot of breathing room between each other.

Wouldn't say it's a must for watercooling at 2-SLI gpus.

Thanks. I just want to make sure it would be worth it. I'll be running 1440P in a few weeks when I get my new monitor and I was hoping to run 2 more of them later in the summer. I figured I would be better off with a 2nd for SLI to last me at least a few years.

I do have 1 PCI slot between the two 16X slots so they should be spaced. Plus I have a side fan exhausting the air right out the side panel rather than blowing at them.

I have 3 120mm ~90cfm fans on front plus one 80mm, all intakes. I have another 120mm intake behind the mobo. 200mm top exhaust, 2x 120mm rear exhaust(one has cpu rad) plus another 92mm(will be modded to fit a 120mm soon) exhaust where the PSU normally is(PSU is in external storage case with all hard drives and optical drive). Also have the 120mm next to the GPU currently exhausting, since I have the mobo fan intake. I don't think I need to change much based on your feedback except for maybe swapping the fan behind my mobo so it exhausts and putting the GPU fan as an intake. Really appreciate the advice. Thanks!
