Hi,
I am going to build a new PC and wanted to know if the GPU I am going to get, the EVGA GeForce GTX 750 TI, is better than the Geforce 8800 GS> Also, if your PC rig exceeds the reccommend requirements, than can you play without any lag with decent graphics?

Solution
Thanks. I know my GPU is weak for my build, but I will upgrade it when I can. I plan to play modern games, like Titanfall, Dark Souls 2, and ESO. My build:

Motherboard: ASUS Z87 PLUS ($160)

Hard Drive: WD Caviar Blue 1 TB ($60) Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB SSD($90)
Optical Drive: Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal ($23)

That's a pretty good build. You'll be able to upgrade to even the most powerful graphics cards later if you want, but the 750 ti is a pretty good little card. I have one m'self. The EVGA Superclocked is the one I went for. It's actually more powerful than the Xbox One's graphics processor, so you'll be happy if you play Titanfall. It'll rock it out at 1080p with most of the eye candy turned up. :D

Now that you mention playing Titanfall on the 750 ti, it reminds me that I've been curious to try the card as the primary GPU. Right now, I have it dedicated to a specific use, not 3D. If you are interested, I can test it with Titanfall at 1080p and report back.

I will, but when I have enough money, or during Christmas or whatever. For now, I am sticking with the 750 ti
