***I didn't go with a K, so this isn't set up for overclocking, also, I had to drop the "WD black" to make budget. I'd suggest this hdd over the blue listed. I'd also suggest a 212 evo, even if you wont' be overclocking this... If you do want to OC, then you'll need the K version of this CPU.

You can overclock with this one, and you will get better performance in most games versus the build above. The R9 280x performs similar to a GTX 770. I would not go with an i-series processor unless you have a budget of over $1200.

Ouch, I've been the AMD rout, and the FX 8320 sucks... Do a FX 6300 instead. The mobo you selected, will throttle the hell out of the FX 8320, since I had that same CPU/mobo combo. The mobo does work well with a FX 6300 though.

I wouldn't go AMD with a budget over 1k.

Once you go Intel, you don't go back... ^^

You might not notice it's throttling... I'd say FX 6300 with a 970 mobo to be on the safe side, but that's just me. Yours is a good option "imo" with that minor adjustment.

My stash!

Sorry about the pic, I need to buy a new camera...
