Is there a 'best' 4TB drive, I have run out of space on my current HDD and I need some bulk storage, 2TB wasn't cutting it, any recommendations would help, I live in Australia, so I cant use amazon, newegg.

Solution
The Black which comes witha great 5 year warranty is however about 30% slower (max rate) than the fastest hard drives .... the Green is about 22% slower.

There is no "best" hard drive, but there are certainly good ones.
I would recommend a WD Black drive for the best performance in a Hard Drive.

I've pulled a 4TB WD Black drive off of the Australian PCPartPicker.

It is expensive, but is a great choice of Hard Drive.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($299.00 @ PCCaseGear)
Total: $299.00
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

If performance isn't the most important thing, you could go with a WD Green which however has less performance but a better price.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Storage: Western Digital Green 4TB 3.5" 5900RPM Internal Hard Drive ($189.00 @ PCCaseGear)
Total: $189.00
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

I also recommend Seagate's lineup of HDD's too.

The WD Green in the benchmark test is off from the one I linked.
Mine is 5900 rpm while the one in the test was 5400 rpm.
