Are my PCI-E connection wires ok?

I just brought a new Nvidia GTX 760. I see that there are 2 connections, one for a 6 pin and another for an 8 pin PCI E connector. On my power supply I only have one wire for a PCI-E connection. However it has split ends both of which are 6+2 pin connectors. My question is would it be ok for me to connect these 2 to my GPU even though they both originate from the same wire, or do the PCI Connecters have to be from separate wires?

Solution
If it splits into 2 6+2 pin connectors you are fine. The wires can deal with it, your main issue is always the connectors and the ability of the PSU to supply the power. Since the connectors were built on you will be fine, most PSUs put 2 PCI-e connectors on a line since that reduces the amount of wires you have to run.
