I'm using OC Genie 2 for my FX-6300. The first time I tried using the features, it OC'ed my cpu to 3.8Ghz now it just stop at 3.76 Ghz. So is this a sign of problem? Or should I just stick with stock clock?

Here is my PC Spec:
CPU: AMD FX 6300
MOBO: MSI 970A-G43
GPU: Sapphire R7260X 2GB OC Edition
CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper 212x
PSU: 500 Watt

With that motherboard, you might just want to stick to stock clocks or a very mild overlock to avoid smoking your VRMs.

agreed, MSI have been known to have bad vrm's on their 970 boards, as firstly the 970 chipset isn't designed for overclocking in the first place (only 3 970 based motherboards have the exception), and in some cases with a MSI 970 chipset, the smallest of overclock can fry the motherboard VRM which is never good in any case, and is not covered by warranty, best to not overclock with that board.

With a poor power and thermal design , that board shouldn't be used for overclocking at all.

The MSI 970 G43 , G45 , G46 are all NOT RECOMMENDED for any type of overclocking.
