i getting dizzy to see so many games that require core i7 such as watch dog, shadow of mordor and even wolfenstein new order... i think core i5 is the beast if we are playing most demanding game such as crysis 3, metro LL, and battlefield 4...
They just say i7, because they truly dont know their basic requirements plus i7 is a broad statement.
A CPU like the 4670k could run those games no problem.
Games recommend an FX processor etc, yet I run them on ultra with a Phenom II.

For instance, the new Wolfenstein is apparently needs i7-960. First gen, much lower performance than any reasonable i5.
I blame Intel for having such weird CPU labeling. You see i7 and just assume it would be better than any i5, but that is definitely not the case. There are so many variations of each (i3, i5, i7).
