Decidind that I would like to build my first gaming rig. Any ideas on parts wise?

I'm wanting to build a gaming PC but I have no experience what-so-ever. Im wanting to play newer games like Watch Dogs and maybe TitanFall. Can anyone give me suggestions, a part list, or a price minimum? I'm fine playing on the crappiest settings or extremely low, just as long as the game works as it does. I currently own a Samsung series 7 Chronos computer with an Intel 7, Nvidia GT graphics, 15 inch display and such. Is that a good gaming computer for next gen games?

whats your budget on this build? do you know how to assemble all components? is this build for gaming only?

You should probably take this question to the Systems forum for build advice.

The minimum price will likely be $500-600 which does not include peripherals or Windows. This will buy a rig capable of decent performance at 1080p.

Your laptop is fairly capable but a dedicated PC will offer more performance.
