yes, it is a rechargeable battery back-up power source, which means it will only last as long as the battery can supply it's power, which will vary depending on what you do, which in all cases, won't be very long.

So, i dnt need a 800 va ups? I just want enough time to shut down. But will the power by a 700 va ups be enough to handle the gpu at peak load?
