Hello all, my new computer was setup on 3 months ago, It suddenly shut down yesterday and I wasn't able to boot up. I tried to many combinations, but still the same. I took out the CMOS battery, unplugged everything even the power supply and left it for over night. The other day, it works again with everything plugged, after couple hours, it happened again. Then I tried to unplug everything and boot with only RAM, CPU, Fan and display card. Sometimes it can brought me to BIOS, but after shut down and turn it on again. The problem is the same.

I didn't plug speaker before, until I did a lot of searching, remind me the beep code. Here is what I have with speaker, ONLY CPU and CPU fan:

I have no clue with the problem after 24 hours fixing. I wonder is that cause by the RAM? or PSU? or mobo? Hope to have someone give me a hand. I am thank you so much!

Here is my config:

- GIGABYTE GA-B75M-D3H
- 2x2GB DDR3 PC3-10600
- i5-2500
- GeForce 9800 GTX

ram....................maybe unseated hardware(card/ram, etc.)..................... grounding problem? try laying board on cardboard. check for bad solder joints on back of board...... or posts that go far below board and contact chasis............ or a bent post contacting other metal.

I also tried to put on top of cardboard because I saw someone suggest this, but doesn't work. And I just checked all the post are fine even on the back. Btw, I am leaving everything unplugged again right now and see what happened tomorrow morning.

I just tired to boot with onboard display connected to monitor. Doesn't work, still boot up for few seconds and then shut down, keep looping. I am wondering is that the PSU problem. I thought it was overheat before, but I checked the log of CPU temperature, it was just around 28-40 degree. I have no idea of the cause.

ok, I think I found the problem. I had the ram on slot 1&2 before. I tired to put a single module on slot 1 or 3, it gives me continues short beep sound. When I put it on slot 4, it works again, then I play around with different slot for two rams. On slot 2 & 4, it works charm. Thank you for all the helps!
