Hello, I know SSD increase loading times, however does it increase performance?
I though it didn't, but games like star citizen and even ARMA 3 (been told by people on forums) will help the performance.
Why is this or is it not true

A SSD will make your system feel much faster/responsive, but it will not generally increase performance in any Graphics or Processor intensive tasks.
One possible exception could be if you do not have enough RAM available and are constantly hammering your page file; but this is a highly unlikely scenario for the vast majority of consumers.

That said, if you can find the budget for a SSD, I would highly recommend adding one to your system.
Coming from a standard HDD, you will not be disappointed with how much snappier your system feels.

Once a program has finished loading and is inside the memory, the harddisk/ssd will have nothing to do with performance anymore. In theory with a fully loaded game, you can unplug and toss away your disk and nothing should change(don't do that though, the system will likely crash anyway) But as the answer above me stated, if you don't have enough memory and your system has been coming and going back to the secondary storage, then yes the ssd would have helped...
