Does my Phenom II X3 Support DDR3 RAM?

Solution
The number of controllers: 1
Memory channels: 2
Channel width (bits): 72
Supported memory: DDR2-1066, DDR3-1333
DIMMs per channel: up to 2
Maximum memory bandwidth (GB/s): 21.3

in short, yes

any am3/am3+ motherboard will work, i would go with a nice am3+ motherboard with the phenom II x 6/ FX -6-8core support for being able to upgrade to a 6 or 8 core amd cpu in the future

I would seriously hope that the original poster isn't still waiting for feedback two years later.
