What software are you using to do the editing? Some won't even utilise a GPU at all.

A sure short answer would be Intel + Nvidia
IF you are not on very strict budget, try sticking to something like I7 4770k
When you say Video Editing, i am expecting you to use Adobe products, Maya, 4D, Vegas etc.

GPU, Nvidia it is. Nvidia GPU's have better support as compared to AMD GPU's. CUDA acceleration really does benefit.

What about AMD Gpu's? Doesn't AMD GPUs Comes to any help At editing? what about their R-series?

You should stick to Intel + Nvidia
Rest would depend on your budget

AMD GPU's are good as well, but Nvidia is anyday better.

Not just that, Adobe softwares have better support for Nvidia products. CUDA acceleration and all

That is an amazing budget for just Mobo, Processor and Video Card.

Go for -
Intel Core I7 4770k - $330
ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO - $200
GTX 780 - $500

And you will be able to do heavy editing as well as gaming given that you have 8GB or more RAM :)

What If I go for GTX 770 or R9-280x? or a bit Low Motherboard like Z87 cz I Might need of a PSU too. My Present PSU is 460W 85+ Effeciency

Yea, that should not be a problem. The motherboard won't make much difference. Go for Z87-A or comparitive

Adobe Premier Pro will utilise a GPU and if it's Nvidia, it will also make use of CUDA. Essentially, this means that the processing power of the GPU can be used for general purposes, rather than exclusively graphics. These extra "threads" will help when it comes to rendering video.

As others have suggested, I'd also back a CPU with more than four cores (or threads). The Xeon that logainofhades suggested is a very good processor for the price and will do everything you want. The i7 only makes sense if you want to experiment with overclocking. The FX 8xxx series is a good middle-ground, but I'd stick to Intel processors for their stronger single and multi-threaded performance.

The second build provided by logainofhades would be the one I'd go for. The only change I'd make would be to swap the GTX 780 for a GTX 770 and use the money to upgrade the RAM to 16GB.

The "Current pc" is an Intel, and the other is an AMD

If you are only going to edit video why pay a boatload of money?

Kudos,
Albert

Because editing videos is one of the heaviest workloads.
Go for budget only if you have low budget, else the best will yield more

I was reacting to the "Oh its heavy task go for Intel...one of us, one of us..." thing. The video editing is a special case it will benefit from more CPU cores and multi threading, so I suggested an other look at AMD processors. Im not really into video editing, but I remembered this statistics and thought it would be helpful.

Kudos,
Albert
