So I have an Asus Rampage iv Black edition, and the board is only rated for quad channel memory, and does not mention dual or any others.. The memory I want is Corsair dominator platinum (C10) for the lower latency time, but the RAM appears to only be tested for dual channel, and does not mention any others.. Will this Memory work in this motherboard? And if so, is there any performance decreases that I should be concerned about?

Solution
The memory will work and although it doesn't mention it they should run in dual channels so no performance is lost. Even if they don't run in dual channel mode the difference is minimal.

Duel Channel - 2 DIMMs on that board will run in Dual Channel mode. But, one of the big features of a 2011 Chipset (x79) and board is the capability for Quad Channel RAM. That is having 4 DIMMs on the board.

Now, the Best method to run Quad channel is to get a Quad kit - ie: a pre-packaged kit of 4 DIMMs that are out of the box set to run together.

Sometimes - I am not really sure how often, makes, etc... - but usually you can get 2x Kits of 2 DIMMs and if they are Identical in speed, etc... they will usually work. But since they are not shipped from the MFG rated to run together, there is no guarantee.
