What would happen if specific parts weren't working?

Building a PC when you turn it on what would happen if specific parts were not working.

Mother board, CPU, GPU, Power supply all main parts what would happen if each of them wasn't working individually?

then the computer would not POST.

gpu missing you would get beep codes, ram you would get beep codes. mobo, cpu or psu you would get nothing.

I should add that it is VERY rare for a CPU with no apparent physical damage to be the culprit. mobo and PSU more often are at fault.

Depends in what way they failed - 'not working' is pretty vague, and there's at least half a dozen failure modes for the PSU alone.

That helps alot thanks. My PSU is working I tested it I sent for a new mobo and my CPU has no damage so most likely the mobo I guess thanks. That cleared my mind of thinking that it could be GPU or CPU or RAM.
