Hi there.
I was planning on building a new custom PC and got somewhat stuck on the MoBo.
I thought only the z87 chipset MoBos were capable of overclocking, but then I came across this : http://www.msi.com/product/mb/H87G43_GAMING.html#overview .This one also supports overclocking and now i am confused.
So should i go with the above board or the MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate? Will there be much of a difference in performance between the two ??
Thanks in advance guys . :)

Some creative motherboard makers discovered a way to allow H87 cpu overclocking.
Intel was not too happy and may well find a way to stop that.
I would stick with Z87 if you will be overclocking the cpu.
On a similar note, the new z97 motherboards will launch within the week. They seem attractively priced, and I would opt for one of those.

Performance is related to the cpu, not the motherboard.
Overclocking upper limits are somewhat different, depending on the motherboard. H87 may well have a much lower upper oc limit.

With the z87-41 you can overclock by changing the clock multiplier, AFAIk you can't do that with the H87.
I'd take the z87 if you want to overclock, be sure to have a K series CPU though.
