550 Ti to 7850 a good upgrade?

Hi everyone, my friend has 550 Ti at the moment, and he wants to upgrade to a 7850. Is it a good upgrade or should he save a little more and get a R9 270x?

Considerable upgrade, but it really depends on WHY he want to upgrade and how long that little more save up will take.

Personally I would suggest saving up for a better card a little longer, R9 270, R9 270x or GTX760.

7850 is significantly faster than 550 ti as you can see from these comparisons

270x is also a faster card than 7850

if extra money is not a problem then go with 270x, but for the 250$ I recommend gtx 760 over 270x
