Hello at Tom's. I'm an loving owner of a R9 290 windforce by Gigabyte. Specifically this one:
http://www.gigabyte.se/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4884#bios
The swedish versionf of this site has 3 different bios's.

I bought this one back in januari and there seems to be a bios update to the card. I've read around on other forums as well. And apperantly this will enable performance mode and quiet mode on the cards bios switch. And therefore help with temperatures and maybe stability.

But I Don't know how to exactly flash my card's bios. So can anyone point me towards some guides? My R9 290 easily hits 84c in all games and the temperature target is set by default to 85c.
Sometimes my core clock goes down because of the high temperatures, however the card is very quiet. But a little to hot in my opinion.

Any help? Thanks in advance :)

First find out if you even need to use what the new BIOS offers. Quiet mode will probably just underclock the card and lower the speed of the fans.

Although you should check your case to make sure the vents and fans are good and the case itself has enough fans and airflow to keep things cool.

Updating the BIOS is not without risk, if the card is working, it's probably not worth trying to run any updates on it.
