SSD VS HDD to store game files

Hi

I'm looking for a pros and cons regarding storing game files on a SSD or a HDD.

I only have a 250GB SSD and for some reason 50GB is already use up and each of my game is around 30-40GB.

My HDD is a 2TB so Im looking for a reason to move or not to move my game files

ssd is much faster than hdd, so put the games and programs you use the most on the ssd until its full, then put everything else on the hdd.

You greatly limit the amount of space available for garbage collection and TRIM operations, thus reducing the life span of the SSD and performance as well.

An SSD needs at least 15-20% free, to allow the TRIM function to do it's thing.
So, for a 250GB drive, never fill it over 200GB.

For games - the only real advantage for having games live on the SSD is load times and level loading. In some games this may be very beneficial. It does not affect framerate any, though.

Ok so when they say 'makes the game faster' its not the actual game latency just the loading time?

What aspects of gaming actually benefits from storing in SSD?

Right. Once a level is loaded, it's pretty much all on the CPU and GPU.
Going between levels, you might be the first one in there, due to the faster level load time. In some games, that may give you an edge.
