hello all, i didn't know where else to ask and you all seem to be pretty knowledgeable. I have just upgraded my pc and since I haven't been able to play my games without the pc cutting power completely off. specs are:

gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3
amd fx 6350
ati radeon hd 4870
4gb ddr3-1600
500W psu

thanks in advance

Depending on how many drives, fans, etc you have, you might be pushing it on the power supply, but you should be fine. What did you upgrade? Did you swap the CPU and forget new thermal paste? What are your temps looking like?

the psu came built in the case it's thermal master atx 12v. the processor is new in the box, it would come with thermal paste? i also had core temp running and it never looked like it got hotter than 34-40 degrees C. i have already exchanged the processor, but i don't want to open the new one until i know a little more
