Hi All,

I built a system back in 2010 and it still going strong to this date. I use this PC for multimedia (blue ray, Netflix HD video streaming, gaming)

Specs are:

ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO motherboard
HIS Ati Radeon HD5770 1gb GDDR5 256 bit GPU
CM 500W power supply
Gskill 4gb DDR 1333
AMD Phenom II x4 Black Ed. @ 3.4 ghz (stock speed) has a big shuriken2 cooler

Recently, I am not able to max out the game details as comfortably as before and I noticed a slight lag using especially google chrome in first launch and some websites.

What is the easiest upgrade I can do to keep this system a bit up to date?
I just don't want to throw it away and build another system from scratch. I am just trying to identify the components that are screaming for an upgrade.

Thank you for your help in advance!
Matt

Solution
the GPU for sure. even something cheap like a 750TI would be a big improvement. also add another 4gb of RAM, and overclock that CPU... it will be a world of difference gaming

Thank you for the input. I was wondering if I will be ok with this CPU for a while in regards to gaming. I did some research online and some people suggest that it is outdated for gaming/some say it is still strong. I can definitely bump up the memory to 8gb. I am also considering Radeon R7 265 but I am not sure if it's a bit overkill for the setup I have.

Any comments?
Thanks
