First of all, I'm very very sorry if there was already a thread on this, I just didn't see any in the 1st page of results. Money is not a problem. I'm going to be using one of these cards for streaming Battlefield 4 at max settings, or maybe one step under that.

More about : radeon 290x gtx 780

Best solution

780 is currently better for streaming as vce has not been properly utillized for easy streaming, so unless you have a powerful processor I say 780 for shadowplay.

The Sapphire R9 290X Tri-X OC http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HJOKARI is a better graphic card in every way. Better performance, performance for the dollar, and optimization for BF4

BF4 is optimized for AMD graphic cards.

Would it give stable FPS while stremaing? And also could I use the ASUS Maximus IV Hero with the R9 290X? With an Intel i7

the performance hit should be very minimal with shadowplay. what program did you initially intend to use for the streaming?

just pick the solution that you prefer. shadowplay is a bonus for nvidia card but i'd say that it is not a perfect solution. overtime nvidia were improving the software and from what i can see a lot of stuff has been added to it since nvidia first come up with it despite it is a free software from nvidia.

Chose the GTX 780 because it they're both about the same performance wise but the GTX 780 was $10 cheaper and with an ASUS one it'll be just a tad bit quieter

"Better in every way" please link proof or benchmarks. So we no your not some AMD fanboy. For streaming / game recording and video editing the the 290 is not at all what your looking for. 780 all the way and you get:
Nvid shadow play for recording games without the taxation of having to blog down your computers possessor.

Cuda rendering for both editing and converting

And specialy optimized drivers for twitch streaming

And of course you get better benchmarks with the 780 along with better drivers for SLI in the future;

Here are some comparisons. I like both nVidia and AMD but when it comes to BF4 and the R9 290X vs. the GTX 780, it's pretty obvious.
