Hello everybody , so i was trying and trying to find a fix for well known poor performance of this game especially on Radeon GPU's . I tried almost anything i can think of , plus reading different solutions etc. I tried D3Doverrider aswell but it doesent seem to work. Also alt-tab-del and switching back in the game. No matter what i do it sits on 30-33FPS . and also to mention all setting on Very Low and low , with everything off on 1920x1080on60Hz . I mean it is just bad experience. So i was inclined to ask a question is it my laptop the issue. And to be honest a paid this laptop a good penny. $1400 . I want to believe it should run this game with at least 40-50FPS on medium settings. SO my specs are.
HP Envy 3D 3290nr
OS ---- Win7
3D display
CPU---- i7 3610QM 2.30GHz with some Boost tech 4 cores , 8 logical processors
GPU---- Ati Radeon HD7850m
RAM ---- 8GB
game installed on SolidStateDrive. With all set on low and 30FPS :-(
I play Ghosts with Medium-high setting and getting about 80FPS .
SO anyone with solution or anything please help me to end my search for better performance .Thanks to anyone reading this post.

Turn off the V-sync, I have similar specs to anoori9000 and I get around 50-60 fps with a EVGA GTX 770 4 GB Superclocked, FX-8320 overclocked to 4.0 GHz, and 8 GB of RAM on Ultra settings with the V-sync off. When I turn V-sync on I get a 20 fps drop. I've spent a lot of time playing around with AC IV settings to get the perfect performance out of it since I'm a big Assassin's Creed fan. I've found that the V-sync has the biggest impact on performance but the AA and GOD Rays can dip fps but quite a bit. My advise would be to put setting such as textures and environment graphics to medium, set the AA to FXAA, turn the GOD rays to low, and most especially..shut off the V-sync! Hope this helps! =]

DONT BE BRAGGING ABOUT YOUR 4GB SUPERCLOCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY 2GB WINDFORCE IS JUST FINE AT 1279MHZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD JK

Yes, Vsync is usually a cause for low preference.

Hey guys thank you for your input, i know for sure that CPU's aren't "parked" i tried a lot of things to make the game playable . All was on low but still nothing special , then i decided to lower the res so i can ease on GPU , but then a different problem appeared . Black Borders . after a lot of research with no success i gave up . but then i gave it another shot , and while in the game instead ALT-TAB i hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and WTF ? my whole desktop now has black borders like in the game. THEN ! i went to Ati Catalyst and scaled image and went back in the game and to my surprise the game was in FULL screen on lower resolution. so i was able to play the game on lower res with low details (40FPS). Played , not enjoyed. (Big Fan of all AC games) . So i came to conclusion that my specs are not cutting it. Even though my laptop is strong , but not for what i want. (HIGH HIGH ULTRA) so i saved some money and purchase myself GT70 Dominator with GTX880m . But now i have different issue . Guys please , is there any different way to sell laptop than EBAY , hate ebay, i do not want to send my Envy 17 to some chump and he claims that it is broken or whatever and return me something that is not even mine and i end up with no money and no laptop. Thanx to you all !

You could try Amazon, you might be able to get a better price for your laptop there. Also, you can sell it on Ebay and let buyers know that there will be 'no returns.' I believe Ebay may have an option to select no returns.
