I have a 770 reference design and i read that gpu 2.0 is based on temperature, would replacing the thermal paste to ACS5 improve performance to where i would notice it?

If you can find tests that show the new paste will help cool better than it may improve a bit butthe card works great out of the box. Are you having issues with some games not being at good FPS?

well you should not be getting FPS drops in Tropico.... Says your in SLI also...2 770's should handle that game just fine. Does you card stay at 80c while gaming?

If its under 80c then the paste will not help. I know my cards will push the clock rate untill they hit 80c then go down if they get over 80c. But dropping from 70c to say 68-67c will not help.

40 is not that low how long does it stay that low? If it drops to 40 for a few seconds it not a big deal but if your spending long times at 40 FPS there may be something going on. is it only happening on Tropico?

Could just be the way the game is coded. Something is causing a small short drop in FPS. I dont think its your card and swapping the thermal paste will def not help at all.
