I hope someone can help out with this very annoying problem. Recently my usb mouse has been disconnecting itself at random times. If I unplug then re-plug it starts working again but the problem still persists. I tried the back and front usb jacks but it didn't help in solving the issue. I'm using Win 7 64 and a R.A.T. 7 gaming mouse. Thanks to anyone who can offer some advice.

Solution
try a uninstall and reinstall of the drivers and software first to see if it is a driver issue.

also over time the wires for the mouse can break inside the wire casings and cause this issue. so after trying the driver cure, try moving the mouse wire while holding the mouse still to see if it will disconnect. I have lost 3 mice to this particular issue. all were different mice, logitech G5, logitech G400 and a microsoft sidewinder.
