just installed my new r9 290 and another 8gb of ram

my pc kept crashing so i decided to upgrade to 8.1 using a bootable iso

but it keeps sayin files are missing and i cannot reinstall windows
it also just keeps lauching automatic repair (which does nothing)

It says

WINDOWS/SYS32/NTOSKML.EXE is missing or contains errors

it also had somthing like

SYSTEM.NDS

Hi,

First off, if windows 8 was working fine before the upgrade, forget installing it on a computer that has hardware problems.

You need to find out what the problem is first.

What your full PC config ?
Take out the new parts and try them one at a time.
Is your previous GPU an amd or nvidia. If you switch you need to clean up the driver.
Also a weak PSU (under 500w) will get you trouble with this card.
If the new memory has different speed, timing and voltage, you will get problems.
