Hi, currently i own a gtx 760. I just got into dogecoin and I see myself getting a profit. I know amd is better for mining. Would I be able to put a amd card into my build to mine and keep my gtx 760 card to play games and occasionally mine? Is this possible?

Mining was better when the coin prices were higher, it does not pay off (after the electricity bill) to run a single card. If you were able to get your hands on 4+ 7970s or 280xs then sure, it would take some time but you could pay off the cards in about 3 to 4 months, but with 1 single card you are not going to be going anywhere. Maybe $60 a month after the electricity bill.....
The fact that dogecoin could be profitable to mine is truly hilarious!

In Windows 7 and 8 you have have multiple graphics drivers going on which allows you to run an AMD card and an nVidia card simultaneously, this is possible in earlier versions of windows but requires more 'creativity' to get it working right. This lets you have an AMD as a primary and an nVidia PhysX card or do what you want to and have an nVidia primary and a mining AMD card.

getting into mining now for a profit... well it costs a lot of money to get a good start. Not to mention your electric bill is going to raise by a large amount so the money you make will be going right back into running the pc to make he money.

Personally I see all currency's that are not dogecoin, litecoin, or bitcoin are going to die out. Mining is not going to be worth it especially since the difficulty rate has gone up so high on all the coins.

Oh they wont die out... infact they're potential is really growing. Universities are now teaching students to use crypto currencies. They're holding value and more and more are being accepted by more retailers.
