Hi! I ordered my GTX 760 a couple weeks ago, and whenever I try to install it, it will beep three times, have one long one, and then shuts off.

I've had a GT 620 in for the longest time, and to be sure the 760 would work I upgraded my case, and have it connected to a 600W supply. Clueless to what I need to do to get the card running.

Specs: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay?javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.prp_ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c02858518-27%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.tpst=ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01&sp4ts.oid=5080737&ac.admitted=1399420790750.876444892.199480143

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

the reason I said whoops its hp is that most of them store bought computers aer fixed so you cant do upgrades to them this is to prevent you from doing something to ''there'' computer and then you come back on them for warranty or exchange it is done not to harm you but to protect them and you may need to get a hp part to work do to the bios fixes and all they do on there items.. there are a lot of threads dealing with guys the don't know this and spend on nice parts just to find its not going to install.. but I hope I'm wrong on your and you do get to use your new card good luck...

Hey,

have you connected the power cables/cable to the card? I think it takes 2x 6-pin connectors like this

Yep, I had the correct pins connected, still getting an error.
