Hello, my name is Christian.

This is my first time building a PC-and I want the best parts.

I currently have an Alienware x51-but that doesn't matter today.

The Epic Build as I call it is as follows.

CASE: Azza Genesis 9000B (I have already ordered this)

POWER SUPPLY: Seasonic Platinum-1000 (I have also already ordered this)

GPU: EVGA GTX 780 ti classified kingpin

CPU: Intel i-7-4770k quad core processor (3.5GHz)

MOTHERBOARD: ASRock EATX Z87 Extreme 11/AC

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3-2400 4x8 GB

STORAGE: 1 Crucial M500 960 GB 2.5" & 2 Western Digital Velociraptor 1TB 10000 RPM

OPTICAL DRIVE: 2 LG electronics 14x Blu-Ray Burner Re-Writer WH14NS40

WIRELESS CARD: ASUS PCE-AC68 Dual-Band Wireless PCIE adapter 802.1a b g n ac

SOUND CARD: Creative Sound Blaster ZxR SBX PCIE Gaming Sound Card

SYSTEM COOLING: I will be using a fully custom water loop with a 480mm radiator.

Here are my questions and problems:

1. My first and most important problem is that my processor doesn't allow RAM with voltage above 1.5v (my ram takes 1.65v) I would like to keep the same RAM, processor, and motherboard. If that isn't possible however please give recommendations on different motherboards/RAM/CPUs.

2. I would like to make sure I have enough space for the Sound Card, Wireless Card, and GPU all on the motherboard.

3.Recommendations on changing of any of the parts.

4. Recommendations on websites where I can purchase water cooling parts.

the 1.65v ram thing isn't really true. you can either use the xmp profile or manually input the settings. you can run the ram at 1.5v and 2.133x multiplier and also tighten up the timings as far as they will go and get the same effect performance wise or better than having a higher frequency higher timings.

frozencpu.com has everything you would need. xspc has some great options for your water cooling. if you can fit it you will likely want the kingpin on a single 360 rad and the 4770k on a 240 rad. you should be able to get the kingpin to 1.5ghz 24/7 stable overclock with easy while staying well under 70c, and also the 4770k will likely get the 4.8-5.0ghz with temps well under control.

change the following:
gpu: get msigaminggigabyte windforce or asus direct cu. evga is going to make a bit of noise idle. unless you going to watercool it.
cpu: get a i5 4670k same gaming performance.
storage: only get ssd's guaranteed speed for every task.
sound card: skip it, its snake oil.
ram: 16gb ram is enough and use ddr3 1600.
optical drive: you sure you have any use for that stuff anymore?

to plusthink: the evga classified acx+ cooler is the best stock air cooler on any 780 besides the lighting... and hes going water anyways so having a classified or classy kingpin is obviously the only cards worth having. in an extreme build like this the 4770k is worth the extra money once you factor in the water setup, $450 vs $550 is a no brainer. the m500 is a great performing ssd, though the samsung evo would be a little better for not much more money if you find it on a deal sound card is meh, if you have recording needs or extreme home theater needs its worth it, otherwise skip it. i use my bluray burner all the time, roughly 4-6 times a week.

Thank you nikoli707. I could really use some more detail on how I would go about doing all the XMP stuff and whatever you just said about the RAM. If you don't feel like explaining it all you can just post a link to a video/article on how to do it, Thanks so much!
