Hey all,
I'm finally building a PC after wanting to do it for 3 years. Besides what little info I've gathered and questions I've asked people I really know nothing about computers. I just like to play video games. I've never been bothered by it because I could never afford to get a better computer. About a year ago I did some research into what I wanted and a guy told me to make this build. This build came out to 1500 dollars a year ago and I was told it could max out graphics on pretty much any game. I really can only afford a 1300 dollar computer now including everything but obviously I'd love to max out graphics on ultra.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 612 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Memory: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Storage: Sandisk Extreme 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card
Case: Corsair 500R Black ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: SeaSonic 650W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Optical Drive: Sony AD-7280S-0B DVD/CD Writer
Monitor: Asus VS239H-P 23.0" Monitor
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)
Total: Around 1500 dollars I think

Do I need to find a new motherboard and video card to buy? I can't find those anywhere online. It always seems to be out of stock. I can't tell if this is because people are always buying it or because it isn't made anymore.

If anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it.

hi! congratulations on finally choosing to build your own. just a few points from me based on the perspective that you are trying to maximize your budget:

1. Do you know or do you plan to experiment with overclocking? if not, then you can save a lot of money by a non K version of a processor.
2. Additionally, if the answer above is no, you might save a bit by going for a CPU cooler that costs less since you're not gonna overclock. a cooler master Hyper 212 would be just fine.
3. A "non-gaming" motherboard or non Z chipsets would fit your build nicely. high end boards tend to give extra features to make overclocking your components easier.
4. Same thing with RAM. I would suggest going for something with 1600mhz.
5. with all your savings from above, get the best video card that you can afford. but your initial 670 would be fine granted that you'll be working with a 1080p resolution screen.

if you're only after maximizing game frame rates/ performance, getting a good video card would be more than good enough.

sidenote: I can sell you my current GTX680 for $300, but i'm from the Philippines so... haha.

sorry I didn't post any links. i'm currently just on my break. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the responses guys,
I feel like if I start overclocking without really knowing what I'm doing things could end up poorly.
I appreciate your answers and I'll probably just buy your no overclocking build stainedclass after looking into all the parts.
Thanks again.
