Hi, I have a common 3tb hard drive which I use for storing common files (music photos docs.etc.).
I also have 2 separate hard disks which I can change with drive caddies.
On one I have windows 7 pro. and on the other I have windows 8.1 pro.
My problem is that recently when I boot from the windows 8 disk I cannot access my storage drive!
I am an administrator and the only user of this computer.
I cannot even open it, it says "drive not accessible" then "Access denied".
I have run scandisk on the drive, ok.
Tried to change permissions, works ok until I hit apply, "Access Denied" .
In the past, sometimes I had to gain permission to access the drive, now I am totally locked out in Windows 8.
Can someone please show a step by step solution, or will I try to get my money back for Windows 8 (ha ha) ?
