Hi guys, I am new to the forum and have a tricky problem.
I have searched these forums extensively and found a lot of articles relating to new grpahics card installations but I haven't quite hit the nail on the head.
I have just installed a Corsair 750w PSU as the old one I had was a poor quiality one that came with the case. I also installed an ASUS R9 290. after I installed no joy... so i pulled the card back out and booted the computer up using the on board graphics. I then proceeded in what has been suggested on quite a few posts which was the following.
1. uninstalled all old drivers from previous graphics card (which was a Nvidia)
2. went to msconfig and made it boot in safe mode with minimal programming.
3. went into the BIOS settings and set the default startup graphics card to be the on board graphics (so I could get into device manager and install the drivers for the new GPU)
But yet still the screen remains black! Nothing loads at all when I turn the PC on, not even the BIOS menu. Anyone have any suggestions?

4 x 4GB 1333MHz DDR3
1 x 64 GB SSD
4 x 2 TB HDD
