i was just wondering. if i would notice a speed differnce in buying the FX 8350 and swap out the FX 6100 CPU out

he sold me a 6 core FX 6100.
gigabyte mobo
16GB G SKILL RIPJAWS
consair 20-22'' tower
64GB SSD 1TB harddrive 500GB back up harddrive
600WATT COZ power supply

long story short i got it for 250$ candian cash dollars.

would i notice a differnce in speed. if i were to swap processors out?

the reason he sold it so low is because there was heating problems. with it. he got a computer guy to look at it and he disconnected to fans. that gave him heating problems. i bought it off him connected the fans back and boom nothing wrong with it

if you already have it, yes, swap them out, the 8350 is a better cpu. in normal usage it's actually harder than it seems to tell them apart. sure in benchmarks they seem worlds apart but in real life it harder to tell either 2 cpu-s apart.

edit; so reread your post. i would say, use the 6100 as it is, especually since you got such a nice deal on it. if you find you have problems of any kind/slow in anything you need to use the cpu is the obvious upgrade. but as said above, the 8320 and a good cooler is a better deal.

what i was trying to do was build myself a BETTER gameing pc i currently have 2 FX 6100 6 cores. 1 with 16GB of ram other with 8GB of ram. with with a WAY better mobo then the other. one with an SSD and one without... so there would be not much of a differnce that i would notice? loading games? loading anything? if i were to upgrade to the 8 core it currently has the
