Windows 7 Performance Issues

i hav formatted my pc because i was facing a very slow pc just like a p3 processor..then i reinstalled my os, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 bt till now i am getting a poor performance..like a pentium g processor...My specs are- Intel Core i5-3450, 8 GB DDR3 RAM,1TB 7200 HDD, Asus P8 H61 MLX R2.0...there was never happened that my pc is hanged or not responding...only the corresponding window or program hanged and the windows explorer keeps on working..bt now the whole system hanges one by one and i have to restart it by own...i hav AVG Home Edition installed and MalewareBytes Anti Malware all up-to-date..my windows is also up to date...now what shloud i do?? I tried defragmenting the hard drives and scanning for disk errors..also i have enough disk space .....please tell me guys...
 
Solution
Crack open the device manager and make certain your system devices are not 'unidentified'. I would also hit Asus' home page and download the most up to date drivers for your mobo as well.

Also, check your bios and see what kind of timings your cpu is running at. If it is under cooled (this is unlikely though honestly) you may be throttling. While you are in there check your RAM timings as well and make sure they are correct.
