I am really confused....i searched on some sites about those 2 GPUs but i can't tell the difference betwen them...on GPUBoss i saw that DirectCU II Top have turbo clock higher ( 1600 for the TOP and for matrix 1100) http://gpuboss.com/gpus/ASUS-Radeon-R9-280X-DirectCU-II...
...if matrix is the same thing as the directCU II TOP why matrix is more expensive? and please help me to chose witch one is better for gaming all Ultra

R9 280X DirectCU II Top has 970Mhz core speed (other one has 950) and a little bit better texture and pixel rate and it's less power demanding.

That is a mistake on gpuboss website. The boost clock is 1070Mhz. On gpuboss they are listing the memory clock speed (1600) as the gpu clock boost speed, which is incorrect.

The matrix platinum comes with a slightly higher overclock. It also might be able to overclock slightly further than the Top, because I believe they are higher binned cards. I'm not sure on that part though.

The matrix is made for extreme performance, but not really bang for the buck. If you have much money, and dont care about performance, you could go for it. I would go for the TOP edition because it is cheaper, and performs similarly

I should add the fact that the ASUS R9280X DCII Top is an ARTIFACT FRENZY. This graphic card is a complete russian roulette as you can get a flawless card or a headache card. Visiting AMD/ASUS ROG forums and you realize the amount of non-attended complaints of many ASUS fans (like me) that are in the RMA.

Instead of relying on their given credits in the market ASUS just ramped memory frequencies to a "near-death" value to impress clients and stay ahed from competition.

I recently bought an ASUS R9280X to pair with an ASUS 7970 Ghz edition (flawless from day 1) and the card is a freaking mess (even without Crossfire, installed in PCIe1 slot). It plays perfectly for 1 hour (more silent than the 7970) but then it just freaks out into poligons and waffles. Even in browser (IE) it flick and breaks. It´s the most common and cheap card from second hand sites, that must mean something...

I would really really stay away from the ASUS R9280X DCII TOP.

This is never mentioned in any review...
