Hi all, so I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and the AMD FX-6300 with this mainboard. So I want to know if I can install Windows 8.1 64-bit without problems and since I have the money to get the FX-8350??
This is the new model, Serial:601-7693-020B140..... and BIOS v2.60
Thanks.

The 8350 is listed in the CPU support list and there are drivers for win8 too. I would think that you will be OK especially since you have the latest BIOS.

I have read a threat about to VRM's are not good enough to handle the 8350 and the northbridge overheats and all that crap.....
Will this be a problem for me? I don't want to spend money buying the 8350 and then have problems with the mobo?

It's a crap shoot if you ask me, especially with MSI boards. MSI has been going down hill the last few years. Poor quality control.

There seems to be some bad reviews here on the board and the third one down is complaining about just what you are asking about.

Only 41% of reviews give the highest rating.

The MSI G43, G45 , and G46 , all have poor power and thermal designs , don't use a FX8320 or FX8350 on those.
