I bought a razer blade laptop and in order to use at my school I had to have their version of windows 7 installed on it. Now that I am thinking of selling it, I'd much rather have the windows 8 that it came with back on it, especially so there isn't a lot of school stuff on the computer.

The laptop came with a key on a sticker stuck to the bottom of the laptop.

Is there a way i can reinstall the windows 8 that it came with or do i have to buy a new version?

do your have you win 8 activation key? and did the laptop come with a win 8 or system recovery disk?

If you don't have a disk, you just need to follow these steps to get the win 8 iso

http://www.cnet.com/uk/how-to/how-to-download-the-official-microsoft-windows-8-1-iso/

You can then burn the iso to dvd, re-install windows and then re-activate it

Problem is getting an ISO for the OEM version of Windows 8 that was pre-installed on your PC. Have a look in Disk Manager to see if you have the Recovery Partition that would have been present on your machine when it shipped originally, if there you can hopefully do a Factory Restore. If not it will be cheaper to approach your Laptop Vendor for a set of Recovery disks than buying a fresh Install of windows 8

To date there is no official means of downloading the ISO with an OEM key from the Manufacturer, you need an Upgrade or Retail key in order to do so...

Just had a peek at the User Guide for a Razer 14", and unusually the initial setup involves entering the Product Key from the base, so maybe these laptops ship with a version of Windows that just might allow a download as blockhead 78 suggests, definitely worth a try...
Edit
It's F9 at power on if you have the Recovery Partition, and you can get a Blade Recovery Stick from them, probably have to contact Razer with your details...
