Hey guys,
Looking to build a computer. Money doesn't grow on trees in my backyard, so i want to spend as little as possible. I was wondering if I should I keep my current 1gb Radeon HD 7870 or upgrade to the 2gb Radeon R9 270x. Is there a noticeable difference in fps? Should I spend that extra $200?

Thanks,
David

Well first though aren't low end cards they are mid tier cards. That being said it not worth going to the 270X for the extra 1GB. You should need to go to at least a 280x so save up. Though since you only have 1GB on your current card you may be restricted to medium/high graphic on newer game because of lack of texture memory on your card.

7870 and 270X are the same card. 270X is just a new name AMD give to it when they come up with the R series graphic card (almost all the card in the R series was direct rebrand from 7k series except for R9 290/290X)
