Same issues here guys... I dunno HOW people get their 8350/R9 290 running so fat, we must be doing something wrong... My friend had issues too with this game, and he has 8350/R9 290 PCS+

I no longer have an AMD cpu (except my older machine w/965BE which runs game darn good with a HD6970 on lower settings) so won't be able to help much if there's a setting/driver/hot fix etc. needing attention.

It isn't just you 6300/8150/8350 guys. In another thread an i7 4770k user with very similar hardware is me has problems too. It isn't just AMD video cards either. The only thing I've done is make sure everything is installed in a systematic order as any other build, have the latest drivers etc. There must be something different that's being done as like you say many are running fine. The bad experiences I've had were caused by what I did, which is why I suggested deleting the PROF_SAVE file and doing a repair.

EDIT: Here's a thread you might like (or not):

I'm having these issues in other games too though... like I can only run Sleeping dopgs 45-60fps, even on medium or low... Its like turning down settings does nothing, and I don't understand it!

Don't update through Windows update to Windows 8.1 by personal experience it worsens performance, now I had a fx 6300 with a gtx 660 and had 60+ fps on medium at 900p.

When you guys fresh install you download drivers from your motherboard manufacturer?

Plus don't upgrade through the windows store/update.

Try lowering your mesh quality setting to high and post-processing to medium, post back your results.

yes, I have all mobo drivers, and its ALWAYS run like this on all windows updates. Friend runs like this on windows 7. Lowering to that helps by like 5fps, but the minimums still remain...
