Perfect build for muliboxing Eve Online with ISBoxer

Hello all and thank you in advance for your advice!

I am currently building a gaming machine for a very specific purpose. This machine will run 14 Eve Online ( specs ) accounts at the same time using IsBoxer.

I am not worried about uber graphics, this is a function over fassion mission. I will turn everything down to optimize FPS and minimize lag.

I am going to use the recent tomshardware 2.4k peoples choice PC as a template ( http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/system-builder-marathon-pc-overclocking,3771.html )

My question is ... given that my goal is to run as many game clients as possible should I opt to upgrade to a 6core CPU/MB . If so which should I buy. Or is that totally overkill?

Also, if i choose to go with 64mb ram should I use the same company or is there another suggested that has a 64mb set?

Finally is there anything about this build that I might want to modify in the interest of my goals?

I would suggest a more multiple core cpu. For such a purpose I might suggest an intel xeon for more multitasking.
While the i7 is very capable, ideally you want one core per window, and 6 cores doesn't even allow for 1 core per 2 windows.
Look for one of the intel xeon 12 core cpus I might suggest. however the i7 *could* work, i'm not sure of the specifics of multiple eve windows.

(I assume you mean 64GB ram not mb)
Also I would suggest that while EVE will use a lot of ram, 4gb should be enough for one window, so 4x14=56gb could perhaps be the total ram use so I do suggest that 64gb ram is enough.

Many companies offer 64gb ram sets. Ensure you have a motherboard with 8 ram slots and buy 8 8gb sticks. I might suggest corsair or Kingston for ram.

Thanks so much for your response! I dont think I have the budget to get into the xeon market right now but I think I can swing a 6core i7. I am looking at this CPU/MB combo.

I have done a little more research and according to their youtube videos, folks are 12boxing with i5 setups. So i am comfortable that I will be in the overkill range with an i7 6core!

Put this together today, I am trying to keep it under $2.5k I upgraded the CPU and removed one of the gfx cards. Do you think this is helping my cause or hurting it? Also if i keep the single gfx card and upgrade to 64gb ram will that be more useful for multiboxing than having a SLI setup?

Here is another solution that uses a different (much cheaper) motherboard that lets me have the cpu and gfx card x2 for right at 2400

I had pulled that other MB off part picker as one ppl used with this CPU, is there any reason I need to buy that super expensive one?

Um I've not had much experience with high-end motherboards but I can suggest that apart from sli/crossfire compatibility I've not seen much difference. Perhaps for overclocking enthusiasts, the voltage control might be a consideration, and also a motherboard that supports high frequency ram, but I think for your cause a cheaper mobo is fine.

Also, yes you should be able to overclock the i7. Any water cooler worth it's salt will let you overclock quite a bit, and that one seems to be quite popular so i'd suggest it will allow for good/big overclocks.

12 boxing eve with an i5 has him playing at a mere 5-10fps.
