I have just installed two 8gb sticks. The other two sticks I previously had (2x 4gb) are different makes. I have a feeling that the bios settings are a bit messed up because of that. If i could get some help for what I can change these to that would be great. thanks

AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor
GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3, mATX

Solution
It's running faster ram than it's rated at. It supports up to 1333 mhz, but some people have used 1600 no problem. I think your just pushing it a tad far using 1866 mhz ram.

Have you set the DRAM up yet, or better question can you make adjustment to the DRAM settings, i.e. the freq, timings and voltages? Have seen many of these Ibuy things with locked BIOSs, if so chances are good the sticks may only be running at 1066 or 1333, where optimal for your CPU would prob be 1600
